Does doing a 30-day decluttering challenge sound kind of enticing to you, yet you don’t know where to start? Do you feel like you’re suffocating in stuff? Or do you just want to do a quick tidy-up? Here are ten things to declutter today, and they’re all easy!

From the medicine chest, kitchen, and living area, to the desk drawer, closet, and jewellery box, things tend to accumulate quickly around the home.

If you live in a smaller place or find yourself searching for stuff you need all the time, or rummaging through items in your drawer you neither like, nor need, then it might be time to do a little burst of decluttering.

The good news is that it’s super simple to jumpstart a decluttering burst today with any of these ten categories. You’re very likely to find things to weed out in each of these areas!

Easy Decluttering Bursts

  1. Expired staples in the kitchen and pantry
  2. Ripped, stained or tattered underwear
  3. Socks with holes, or tights with runs (unless they’re from Gucci 😅)
  4. Product pamphlets and brochures
  5. Old magazines
  6. Dried up art supplies like paints, markers, ink pads
  7. Expired medicine
  8. Clothes that make you feel bad
  9. Cables and adapters you don’t know what they belong to
  10. Broken costume jewellery
